Usually going under the moniker Mule Driver, Harel Schrieber has dedicated a great deal of his life's work to studying and exploring the wonders of the Roland TR-808 drum machine, celebrating its' rhythms to a large extent and since 2011 releasing exclusive material for the annual 808 day, which occurs every August 8th.

For the upcoming 808 "birthday", he'll deliver his gift, literally, as Max Schreiber - His alter ego for experimental and drone oriented works and therefore utilize and treat the 808 differently; zero beats whatsoever. Instead, late seventies Brian Eno inspired ambient soundscapes and atmosphere.

As objective as a label press release can be, these two tracks are genuine and showcase the true nature of the 808 as a forward thinking tool for creating environmental sounds.

Last but not least, Daniel Heidebrecht aka Swiss Arrow contributes a Masked-Cocoon dark ambient-drone remix for the B2 track which makes this release even more intriguing.
